Climate Change

3 min read

This is what the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change have to say about the Paris Agreement.

"The Paris Agreement asks both rich and poor countries to take action to curb the rise in global temperatures that is melting glaciers, raising sea levels and shifting rainfall patterns.
As of September 2016, 191 members of a the UNFCCC have signed the treaty.
The Agreement requires governments to present national plans to reduce emissions to limit global temperature rise to well below 2 degrees Celsius."

Now, the agreement will only enter into force provided that 55 countries that produce at least 55% of the world's greenhouse gas emissions approve or accede to the agreement...you know?? I hate to be a killjoy, the Paris Agreement is obviously a good thing..its just that?? Oh you know Nuclear weapons and that?

Between 1945-1998, the total number of atomic, nuclear & chemical detonations worldwide was 2,053.
"reduce your carbon footprint, why not walk to work!!"......Mate, the Marshall islands have a purple sun!!! It really does piss me off! Why? How? What's the point! Nine countries have nuclear weapons.. Nine nuclear states. Countries that actually produce and stock pile nukes. That mine the Uranium, weaponise it, build the rocket, the war heads- then point them at the other eight counties that are pointing theirs at one another. My carbon footprint?? Come on!
It's hard to take climate change seriously when nuclear weapons are still in production...

United Kingdom
United States of America
France
Russian Federation
China
Pakistan
India
Israel
North Korea

If a nuclear bomb was dropped on New York, London, Moscow etc, the 5m blast radius would kill up to 6 million people instantly. Not just kill either. Obliterate! 100,000,000° Celsius! Hotter than the sun 😎 Not even bacteria would survive. Outside of the blast radius would see nuclear winds up to 600 mph. No man made or natural structure in the world can withstand that amount of energy. Anyone that would be fortunate enough to survive the blast would have the radiation fallout to look forward to, Yaaaaay! Irradiation of white blood cells meaning the body would be unable to heal itself so even though you survived the blast, now you have an agonisingly slow death, Brilliant! Within less than 12h would see the systematic extermination of over 10m people with just ONE bomb!
You wanna talk about climate change? Let's sort this shit out first, then we can talk about me and my "carbon footprint" 'K? 😊

Immigration

21st June 2016

Some of the stats lingering over Europe at the moment are frightening... I mean It's estimated that 65m people were either refugees, asylum seekers or internally displaced at the end of 2015, the biggest influx of people since World War Two. That's one in every 110 people on the planet.

With immigration being one of the main issues dividing us on whether we vote to stay or vote to leave the EU, plus a growing support for far-right groups, you can't help but notice a few similarities between our current political climate and 1930's Germany. All we need is a goose step and a little moustache and we could literally be repeating the past... I saw someone coming out of a barbershop the other day and thought "Jesus, that guy looks like Goebbels."

All this arguing back and forth about immigration, you would've thought it was a 21st century social anomaly! I've put together a list of historical facts and they are facts...100% accurate..ish!

1800's- How come right, if the British Empire is sooo big right, how come people from the colonies wanna all come over here and live and work an' that? Go back to India!

10th century- ahh, go back to France, bloody Normans ordering us hardworking Anglo-Saxons around like they own the place!..oh they do, my bad!

5th century- Bloody Saxons coming over here, taking all our jobs. Piss off back to Germany

55BC- sick of these Romans coming over here telling us what to do, with their sandals and fancy helmets, Fuck off back to Italy!

70,000BC- Bloody Homo erectus with it's "ooh look at me I can walk upright" go back to Africa mate! Think you're better than us do you? With your clay pot and sticks!

600,000,000BC- Not another mollusc! Sick of these invertebrate species taking advantage of the land mass collision during the Neoproterozoic era, migrating across Eurasia eating our British leaves and stuff, naff off dick head!

3,800,000,000BC- don't get me started on these Multicellular life forms taking jobs from honest, hard working bacteria.

Like I said.. FACT!...don't check them though, no need. Noooo need!

2nd Amendment?

2 min read

In 1919 the US Government added an 18th amendment to their Constitution prohibiting the production, distribution and consumption of alcohol, then 10 years later wrote the 21st amendment repealing the 18th amendment at the end of prohibition.

The 19th amendment was added in 1920 permitting the right for women to vote. The 27th amendment was added in 1992! A law that prevents members of Congress giving themselves pay rises...but with the writing of new amendments and updating old ones; why can't the 2nd amendment be changed? The 2nd amendment was written because the British confiscated weapons from the Colonists....240 years ago!

You can't have a country based on a constitution written over 200 years ago... Times have changed a bit. If the UK still had laws in place from 200 years ago the age of consent would still be 13! ...also when Washington, Jefferson and the other founding fathers signed the constitution -again over 200 years ago- I'm pretty sure that the 2nd Amendment wasn't written with the AR-15 military-grade semi automatic rifle in mind.

I guess because the 2nd amendment along with 1st through to the 10th were the laws written by the "founding fathers" -the original constitution is held in such high regard by Americans and to change those laws would be an insult to the memory of the founders of those laws........Well, sort of! I'm sure 'the fathers' would understand that all laws may need to be changed as the country evolves, right?

When people say "well if the Founding Fathers were here right now, they would be furious with the very idea of changing the constitution." ......ummm, I seriously doubt it! Washington has been dead for 200 years, I imagine if he were suddenly brought back to life -the fax machine would keep him pretty entertained! I mean it's 2016 and the fax machine still blows my mind...you get the paper! Someone sends you paper and you get the paper....Genius! And if he does notice a few social changes like no slaves or same sex marriage- just put a potato in the microwave, he'll love it!
